                       PROTAGONIST'S MOTHER:

                                                                           KAGE!!!

                                                                                                     KAGE:

                                                                         What mom.

                   PROTAGONIST'S MOTHER (continued)

 This is the last failed assignment you will ever get. From here on out you are grounded. You are a disgrace to this family do you hear me?!

                                                                                                     KAGE:

                                                                          Yes mom.

                                                                                                KAGE (continued):

 The sounds of his friends playing are heard in the background.

What am I going to do. I need something for redemption. EVERYTHING I TRY I KEEP FAILING. Kage then swipes everything off of his desk. Close up of spelling bee flyer falling. That's it! the spelling bee, passing that will surely get me ungrounded!

2: Trying out for the spelling bee

Bell rings

Kage follows the flyer and walks into the classroom.

                                                                                                    KAGE:

                                     Surely I will pass this, how hard could it be to spell? Parallel editing of clock ticking as he struggles. The bell rings. How did I fail that! I'll never be able to get ungrounded now, this was my last hope!

3: Walking home

                                                                                                  HOMELESS MAN: 

                     Hey kid, what's the matter?

                                                                                                     KAGE:

                    Nothing you could help me with, you can't even shower. Kage continues walking.

4: Researching at home

                                                                                             PROTAGONIST'S MOTHER:

                     All you do is play video games. Until you get your grades up, you are grounded from those too. 

                                                                                                    KAGE: 

    There's got to be a way I can win this spelling bee. Searching on his computer, he finds the same homeless man, who happens to be a tutor. Thats the same guy I passed earlier today! maybe he could help me.
